Each year we have an alternative Advent Calendar. It is very alternative this year as it is completely virtual! Each day will have a challenge to show God's love in our community and, because of the year we have had, we have added in some self care challenges too. Watch out on Facebook and our website for each day's challenge as we begin the Season of Advent, a time of patiently waiting and preparing. Day 1 challenge was to 'Go out for a walk and admire God's creation'. How did you get on?

Day 2 challenge was to 'Smile & say Hello to everyone you meet today'.

Day 3 challenge was to 'Write down 10 things you are thankful for, and keep it somewhere safe you can see it'.

Day 4 challenge is 'Donate to a Foodbank'. Donations for Christ in Action Foodbank can be left at the door to the Halls under the canopy. Foodbank volunteers are in daily so it will be collected. Supermarkets have trolleys for donations at the doors. Sainsbury's collect on behalf of Christ in Action.

Day 5 challenge is'Give yourself a hug… you deserve it.

Day 6 challenge is'Pay it forward – Buy someone a coffee, or pay for their groceries'.

Day 7 challenge is 'Be a good neighbour… take in your neighbour's wheelie bin'.
