Advent

Advent

Advent is a time of getting ready – ready to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We think it is important to remember that even though it's great to get gifts and eat nice food, Christmas is about much more than that. Advent season takes in all four Sundays in December and each one helps build the anticipation for Christmas morning. Our service is at 11am each Sunday.

Christmas can be a time when people who don't usually come to church decide to make a visit – if that's you then we want you to know you'll be welcome; we'd love to see you. If you come regularly you'll be welcome too!

This advent we're using the film 'Miracle on 34th Street' to help us think about Jesus being born:

Dec 3:   The miracle of the moment – the time was just right

Dec 10: The miracle of the message – it's great news for everyone

Dec 17: The miracle of the method – it's not what you'd expect

Dec 24: The miracle of the manger – God with us!
