WORSHIP
A Congregation is defined in Chambers dictionary as: a gathering or assembly of
people especially for worship. Church is about more than gathering with a common
purpose. Church is about family and family is described from the same source as:
a household, a group related to each other, united through a common ancestor.
Our Church is a family and Christ is acknowledged as our head!
Our whole focus as a Church family is to reach out in common purpose sharing the
love of Christ in our community and workplace. Christ commands us to go into all
the world and make people his disciples. We are encouraged to win people to him
not by complex evangelistic systems, but by loving them. Jesus said "Love one
another as I have loved you".
Our Purpose
- To establish Jesus' Church into what He wants it to be.
- To reach people with Christ's personal love and good news.
- To develop confident, victorious, and overcoming believers.
- To be an effective part of the world Church through vibrant worship and
proclamation
Who We Are
We are a caring, forward looking Church Family who are God Centred, full of life
and unafraid of change knowing that Christ is our head.
Our Vision
is to build a faith-based church that is relevant to everyday life, enabling and
releasing ordinary people to live extraordinary lives.
Our Goals Are
That our whole focus is to reach out in common purpose, sharing the love of
Christ in our community, workplace and world.
We will do this by:
- providing compassionate support for everyone
- prayerfully and actively developing the personal faith of everyone
- nurturing leadership and supportive roles
- creating opportunities where the lonely and broken-hearted will find
refuge, new hope and belonging
- providing opportunities for every family member to exercise
their God given gifts
- developing worship which is lively and enjoyable as well as reverent
and holy
- enhanced use of audiovisual technology
- creating greater opportunities for social interaction and celebration
