Unitary Constitution

After consideration over the last year the new Unitary Constitution for this congregation is now in operation. On Saturday 11th June, 2011 the initial meetings took place at an all day seminar in the church halls. The Congregational Board stood down the same day and the Kirk Session agreed that, while all Elders would attend their appropriate Committee meetings, the main Kirk Session meetings would comprise three Elders from each Committee plus the Minister, Session Clerk and Treasurer.

The Committees and Kirk Session will meet alternately each month.

The new Committees are as follows:-

Worship: Chair – John Henderson. Deputy – David McCarrell.
Fabric & Finance: Chair – Eion Dougan. Deputy – George Kitcheman.
Pastoral Care: Chair – Jim Riach. Deputy – Margaret Ferguson.
Outreach: Chair – Jim Goodlad. Deputy – Robert McCombe.
Discipleship: Chair – Dave Curran. Deputy – Pat Simpson.
In addition to several of the former Board members a number of interested members
have also agreed to serve on the Committees. There is no limit to membership of the
Committees and anyone not yet involved who would like to join a Committee should
contact the Chair of the group concerned.
