Boys Brigade

The Boys’ Brigade (or BB for short) is an organisation designed to give boys and young men something interesting, challenging and fun to do.

Our organisation was started in Glasgow over 100 years ago, and today Companies just like ours can be found all round the World!

The BB has a badge, just like your favourite football team, and as you can see it's an anchor. Our motto, “SURE AND STEADFA5T”, is written on the anchor.

The aim of the BB is “the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Discipline, Reverence, Self-Respect and all that tends towards a true Christian Manliness”. That means that we want young men to grow up knowing about Jesus, to know how to behave properly, and to be proud of themselves. If everyone could do that then the world would be a much nicer place to live in. However, we want you to have fun as you learn! How do we do it? Read on to find out!

What activities do we do?
When do we meet?

We meet every Friday during school term, starting 4th September 2009 right through to 14th May, 2010, at the Church Halls in Monkton Road, Prestwick - right next door to our Church.
We meet in three groups;
Each section has a different uniform, which you will be able to see when you come. Any boy can come to BB as long as they are at least six years old!
